The Muse and the Poet - March 4

Come join the Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra March 4 at North Decatur Presbyterian Church for The Muse and the Poet. The Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing a concert featuring the music of Smetana's The Moldau, Saint-Saens' The Muse et le Poet & Suite Algerienne, and Debussy's Petite Suite. This concert will feature Kenn Wagner (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra violinist) and Joel Dallow (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra cellist) on The Muse et le Poet. Amy Wilson, Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra music director, will be conducting.

We welcome adult musicians with high school- or college-level ensemble experience. Prospective members are encouraged to attend two rehearsals before scheduling an audition.

For the audition prospective members will play one prepared technical and one prepared lyrical excerpt of their choosing for the audition committee, as well as a sight reading excerpt to be provided by the Music Director."
